
Pettavel Vineyard in Geelong
The Geelong vineyard is close to the amenities of Geelong City and is located 25 kilometers southwest of Melbourne Avalon Airport. With a 3-kilometer frontage to the Moorabool River, the valley’s regional terroir benefits from volcanic soils and a Mediterranean climate. The vines are truly blessed with warm sunny days and cool evenings, which contribute to the production of exceptional fruit for exceptional wine.
The vineyard is mainly on grey and brown loams and clay loams with granite. Planted between 1988 and 1998, the vineyard produces Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Semillon.
